Their first year of major league started with a bang of 70-91. It is still the largest winning percentage for a first year major league expansion team. The interest and the money that has been put in to all those efforts have been immense. Until they moved to Anaheim in 1965 they were known as ‘Los Angeles Angels’. In 1965 team ownership announced the Los Angeles Angels would henceforth be known as the California Angels. San Gabriel and Santa Ana mountains used to enhance their newly taken over stadium, Anaheim. But with the expansions been done and regular upgrades to the stadium, it has become more majestic and bigger in concrete.

In 1982 postseason and 1986 postseason, the Angels were very close to win the World Series, and were just one strike away .So Angels baseball underwent a decade of frustration without being able to give the final punch although they could be happy with the performances. The 90’s on the otherhand became a decade that all Angels baseball supporters would like to forget. The team lost many important individuals to murders and suicides; their bus met with an accident injuring many of their players and it was bad news all the way. It was even said that some sort of a curse has been put in the team. Many believed that the Angels baseball stadium was under a curse because it was built on an ancient Indian burial ground. In 1996 in hope of rescuing the Angels baseball, the Walt Disney Inc took complete control over Angels. Up until then, they were sharing the ownership with a few other companies but with Disney’s involvement, The Angels baseball team had to be renamed as Anaheim Angels. This is something that was largely opposed by fans however; the Angels had no choice but to move forward. In 2002 they won their first world title. But later Disney sold Angels to Angels baseball and the team is now called as Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Still after many years the legendary Angels are right up there with the best. Their path was never filled with roses but has been unforgettable and amazing. The Baltimore Orioles have been the small fish in the big pond for many years now in the American League East. Playing the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox potentially 19 times each per year has taken its toll on the Orioles. The Orioles are typically good starters but fade fast as the season progresses. Only one pitcher on the Orioles starting staff had 10 wins and that was Jeremy Guthrie – but he also had 17 losses. When the ace of a pitching staff has 7 more losses then wins with an ERA over 5.00 – the team won’t win many games and the Orioles didn’t.

The team’s pitching was up an down all year never finding consistency. Josh Beckett did have 17 wins on the year leading the team, John Lester followed Beckett with 15 wins and leading the team in strikeouts with 225. Daisuke Matsuzaka had an off year and never was able to stay healthy.

If things remain the same for the Orioles as they have for the last decade – Orioles fans will have many heart breaking season in the future. The Orioles have a couple talented players – now it’s time to add some more talent

The problem with this is that there is actually very little difference between the performance levels of these bats and even then it takes a good player to bring out the difference. So while bats change with time, the important thing is to enjoy the game.

Dr. Bates claimed that you should be able to improve your eyesight with the techniques he had in mind. These techniques were centered around movement and visualization.
